Gold Coins

Gold Coins are Ruby Sweeps Casino’s play-for-fun currency. They’re designed for entertainment gameplay, letting you jump into slots and other eligible titles without using redeemable sweepstakes currency.

The key thing to remember is simple: Gold Coins are for social-style play, while Ruby Sweeps Casino’s prize-eligible currency is separate (called Emeralds on this platform).

What Gold Coins Are

Gold Coins are a virtual currency used to play games in “just for fun” mode on Ruby Sweeps Casino. You can spin, play, and test games with Gold Coins, but those Gold Coin sessions don’t create redeemable prizes.

They’re ideal if you want to:

• learn a game before playing with prize-eligible currency
• stretch your entertainment time
• enjoy new releases without worrying about redemption rules

How Gold Coins Fit the Sweepstakes Casino Model

Sweepstakes casinos typically offer two currencies:

• a non-redeemable entertainment currency (here, Gold Coins)
• a sweepstakes-style currency that can become prize-eligible after meeting rules (here, Emeralds, which may convert into redeemable Won Emeralds after the required playthrough)

This split keeps Gold Coin gameplay clearly separated from prize redemptions, while still giving players a lot of ways to play.

Ways to Get Gold Coins on Ruby Sweeps Casino

Ruby Sweeps Casino awards Gold Coins through several player-friendly paths, including sign-up rewards, daily promos, and loyalty benefits.

You may receive Gold Coins through:

Sign-up bonus Gold Coins (no purchase required)

New players can receive a Welcome No Deposit Bonus that includes 10,000 Gold Coins and 10 Emeralds when registering (automatic). Gold Coins from this offer are for entertainment gameplay.

Daily “Spin the Wheel” rewards

Logging in daily can pay off. Ruby Sweeps Casino offers a Daily Spin the Wheel promo that can award up to 50,000 Gold Coins and 15 Emeralds once every 24 hours, credited automatically when available.

Promotions and VIP rewards

Ruby Sweeps Casino also runs a VIP Program where active members may receive monthly Gold Coins and Emeralds based on tier, plus purchase boosts (VIP is manual opt-in). Terms and availability can vary, so it’s smart to review the current promo details inside your account.

Can You Buy Gold Coins?

Yes - Gold Coins can be included with purchases on Ruby Sweeps Casino.

For example, the First Purchase Bonus (code WELCOME) offers a 100% match on Gold Coins on your first purchase, plus bonus Emeralds depending on the purchase option (valid on first purchase only). The purchase bonus requires entering the code during the transaction.

Important: purchasing is not required to participate in sweepstakes-style gameplay, and Gold Coins themselves remain non-redeemable.

How Gold Coins Are Used in Games

Gold Coins are used as your stake for eligible games in entertainment mode. You select Gold Coins as your balance (or choose the Gold Coin play option), set your bet size, and play normally.

If you’re new, Gold Coins are a great way to learn features like bonus rounds, paylines, and volatility without affecting your prize-eligible balance.

What You Can Play With Gold Coins

At Ruby Sweeps Casino, Gold Coins can be used across the game library, including popular categories like slots and table-style titles. The platform notes that all games are eligible for key promos, and that playthrough contribution for Emeralds applies across game types - so you’ll typically find Gold Coin play widely supported across the catalog.

Game content is powered by providers such as Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, and Bgaming (Softswiss).

Gold Coins vs Emeralds (Sweeps Coins): The Real Difference

Ruby Sweeps Casino uses Gold Coins for entertainment and Emeralds for sweepstakes-style play.

Here’s what separates them in practical terms:

Gold Coins:

• meant for social/entertainment gameplay
• not redeemable
• wins stay in Gold Coin balances (for continued fun play)

Emeralds:

• used for sweepstakes-style gameplay
• subject to rules like 1x playthrough before they become redeemable as Won Emeralds
• can be redeemed once eligible, with redemption rules and minimums applying

Ruby Sweeps Casino notes that Emeralds may be exchanged at 1 Emerald per 1 USD after playthrough, with a minimum redemption of 50 Emeralds, and maximum limits per transaction can depend on verification status.

Do Gold Coins Have Cash Value?

Gold Coins do not have cash value on Ruby Sweeps Casino. They’re a play-for-fun currency used strictly for entertainment gameplay.

Can Gold Coins Be Redeemed for Prizes?

No. Gold Coins are non-redeemable and cannot be redeemed for cash or prizes.

Prize redemptions, when available, are tied to Emeralds after they meet the platform’s requirements (such as playthrough).

Can Gold Coins Be Exchanged or Converted Into Emeralds?

Ruby Sweeps Casino describes Gold Coins as fun-play and non-redeemable, while Emeralds are the sweepstakes-style currency with redemption rules. Because of that separation, you should not expect Gold Coins to be convertible into Emeralds unless Ruby Sweeps Casino explicitly states an exchange mechanism in its official rules or a specific promotion.

If you see any offer that mentions both currencies, treat it as a bonus award (Gold Coins plus Emeralds), not a conversion - unless the promo terms clearly say otherwise.

How to Check Your Gold Coin Balance

You can check your Gold Coin balance directly in your account wallet or balance area inside Ruby Sweeps Casino. Most players will see separate balances for Gold Coins and Emeralds, so you always know which mode you’re playing in before you place a bet.

Do Gold Coins Expire?

Expiration rules can depend on promotional terms and the platform’s policies. If Ruby Sweeps Casino applies an expiration or inactivity policy to Gold Coins (or to bonus balances), it will be listed in the official rules or promo terms. When in doubt, check the terms tied to the specific reward you received.

Limits, Restrictions, and Eligibility Notes to Know

A few important restrictions may apply across Ruby Sweeps Casino promotions and participation:

• You must be 21+ to play.
• The platform is listed as unavailable in Washington, Idaho, Kentucky, Michigan, Utah, Ohio, Nebraska, and Rhode Island (availability applies to other US states).
• Promotions generally can’t be combined, and accounts flagged for abuse (such as multiple claims) may be suspended.

Also, remember the separation:

• Gold Coin gameplay is for entertainment and doesn’t create redeemable prize eligibility.
• Emerald gameplay is what connects to prize redemption rules, including the required playthrough.

Does Gold Coin Gameplay Affect Emerald Balances or Prize Eligibility?

Gold Coins and Emeralds are tracked separately. Playing with Gold Coins should not reduce your Emerald balance, and Gold Coin wins don’t turn into redeemable prizes.

If your goal is prize eligibility, you’ll want to make sure you’re playing with Emeralds (and meeting any playthrough requirement) rather than Gold Coins.
